Big announcement at 2:20. The announcement of the winning city to host the 2016 world olympics. I knew chicago wasn’t going to get it. I live about 2 hours from chicago and let me tell you, its is prety bad down there. Just last school year there where about 30 students killed due to the violence, remember if you are a witness to a crime be the biger man reported to the police, you are not a rat or a snitch, you are just making the city a better place.. In a good note, if you love soccer check out this video www.youtube.com that game has been one of the best games that I have ever seen in my entire life the best goals are at 2:24 and my favorite at 4:10 Also if you want to see some extreme beatbox masters watch this vide, you have to watch the whole thing in order to appreciate the good sounds. www.youtube.com

October 2, 2009: President Barack Obama says that while he’s disappointed that Chicago did not win its bid to host the 2016 Olympic games, he’s happy they’ll be in the Americas and that it’s “always a worthwhile endeavor” to boost the United States of America.
Representatives of the four cities bidding to host the 2016 Summer Olympics have arrived in the Danish capital, to make their pitches. Michelle Obama, the US First Lady, was among those who travelled to Copenhagen in support of Chicago’s bid, while Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva backed Rio de Janeiro. Other cities running are Madrid and Tokyo. But while Obama is leading the charm offensive to bring the Olympic Games to Chicago, some of the city’s residents are hoping that another city is chosen. Sebastian Walker has the story.
Delirious scenes in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, as the Olympic games go to South America for the first time in history. The announcement made by the International Olympic Committee in Copenhagen to host the 2016 games in Brazil followed a plea from the country’s president to redress what he called an imbalance seeing the games go only to Europe, North America and Asia in the past. Brazil triumphed over cities like Madrid in Spain and Chicago in the US despite a strong pitch from Barack Obama, the US president, for hosting the prestigious event in his home town of Chicago. Al Jazeera’s Roger Wilkison reports.
